LAYA YOGA: (The yoga of suspension and absorption)
Laya yoga allegorically mentions about kundalini yoga and associated chakras. The chakras are symbolized as lotus flowers with petals. There is 1000 petal lotus at the top of the head. It is the sahasrara chakra. Each chakra is associated wit one of the elements of fire, water, air, ether, consciousness, and divine element. As the kundalini rises up, the lotus which naturally faces downwards, now lifts upwards and all function associated with this are withdrawn or made latent.
Laya yoga literally means, “the yoga of suspension or absorption.”
