This mudra is termed “vipareeta karani” because it beautifully activates and stimulates all the organs of the body and refreshes them. This is the best mudra for increasing concentration and mind power.
TECHNIQUE:
Lie supine.
Keep the hands at the side of your body.
Slowly raise your legs upwards.
Raise your hip slowly by touching the buttocks and balancing with your hands.
Leg phalanges should be perpendicular to the eyes.
Finally gaze at the leg thumb when maintaining the position (refer picture).
DURATION: From 30 seconds to 1 minute.
COUNTER POSE: Matsyasana is the counter pose and it should be compulsorily done.
