VAKRASANA:DEFINITION: “Vakra” means “twist.” in the final position, the body will be completely twisted in opposite direction. This asana frees the back bone from stiffness and maintains flexibility. TECHNIQUE: 1. Sit straight with both legs extended. 2. Bend the right knee perpendicularly. 3. The right toe should be straight to the left leg knee (refer picture). 4. Now, gently place your right hand to the back side. 5. Fingers should be flattened and straight. 6. Now by twisting the body slightly touch the left leg phalanges by your hand. 7. Bend your body slightly to the right side. 8. Gaze with your eyes straight. 9. You should practise vice versa with another leg for completing one round. 10. While turning your body to the left or right, you should exhale. Then, the breathing should be normal. 11. In final stage, retain breath for sometime and then relax. DURATION: From 30 seconds to 1 minute. BENEFITS: 1. Increases the eye sight due to neck movements. 2. Strengthens the urinary system. 3. Stimulates pancreas and prevents diabetes. 4.
